What kind of fabric is Cutimed Sorbact made of?

Acetate fabric except for the ribbon gauze which is made of cotton for higher conformability and easier application in deep wounds. The dressing pad contains a soft absorbent core made from polyester and viscose.

Why is acetate fabric used?

It is a smooth fine meshed material which reduces the risk of tissue ingrowth and of sticking to the wound.

Can Cutimed Sorbact be re-sterilised by steam?

No, re-sterilisation is not recommended.

What is the shelf life of Cutimed Sorbact?

Shelf life is 5 years for the absorbent pads, swabs and ribbon gauzes and 3 years for the Cutimed Sorbact gel dressings.
