Instructions for use: Cutisorb® Ultra

General

Cutisorb Ultra dressings are sterile, super-absorbent wound dressings for use on heavily exuding wounds.

Indications

Heavily exuding wounds, which are chronic or healing by secondary intent, such as leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers and similar types of wounds.

Product properties

Cutisorb ultra absorbs exudate and secretions and helps keeping a moist wound environment. Liquids are retained within the dressing.

Cutisorb ultra has a white wound facing contact side and a blue hydrophobic exterior which minimizes moisture leakage.

Cutisorb ultra also absorbs under pressure.

The high absorbency of the dressing results in longer dressing change intervals.

Instruction for use

Cutisorb Ultra should only be used on heavily and very heavily exuding wounds. The wound should be treated under medical supervision.

It is important that the white non-woven side of the dressing is placed in contact with the wound!

Please ensure there is sufficient space for secure fixiation of the dressing onto the surrounding skin.

Do not use if the sterile packaging is opened or damaged.

Do not cut the dressing. The dressing must remain intact.

Do not re-sterilise.

Dispose of in normal household waste or, if contaminated, according to respective regulations.

Side effects

There are no known side effects. The dressing should not be used on dry wounds, low exuding wounds, eyes, mucous membranes or in wound cavities (the dressing swells considerably after fluid absorption!)
